At Ego Thieves we are not suckers for the whole blog ‘Hierarchy’ and utter nonsense of… oh you stole my post i had that picture there first, or you stole that track from me i posted it first. Thats why we have our own podcast’s and mix series as well as lots more coming, be original. In saying that we are ones to bring good blogs together, Hush House is one of them. Dubfluencial 3 is out to download now. This is quite obviously a special Street Fighter influenced edition namely ‘Dubfighter’. With a Street Fighter 4 Dubstep track that should of been featured on the game itself. Also dropping some Glitch and a slice of Electro to spice things up a bit. Dubfluencial 2 was downloaded over x1000 times and has received immense praise. Interview :: Serani

Its, Its, Its Serani! Hot on the lips of many a Reggae / Dancehall fan. His last album sky rocketed and with his current single ‘No Games‘ doing very well and on Myspace alone has had over 14 million (yes million!) spins, his dominance seems to continue to sky rocket! We sent Theo Tziapouras from Ego Thieves to catch up with him and ask that all important question… Do you have an Ego?

Intelligent Hoodlum Vol Two – Love Dilla

Are you an Intelligent Hoodlum? What is an Intelligent Hoodlum? Well… its an individual who unlike many of the new artists around, (to mention a few such as Soulja Boy, lil Hurricane and even up and coming Charles Hamilton) appreciate and honor the past to create and evolve the future. Too many of the new generation of producers and artists these days in most genres but especially Hip Hop do not do their history and bow down to the creators of the very genre itself. You cant become a Doctor, Scientist, Director or Pilot for example without doing your history so why is music different and why does this new generation feel they can put down and slew their predecessors?

DJ Cable – The Mash Down Vol 2

Ego Thieves is really picking up at a lightspeed pace! I get more and more emails everyday telling us how much they love our content, wish we did more and can we post up this and that. We are very fussy who we expose on our site as it comes with our seal of approval.

But yest DJ Cable emailed me this mix which is definatly Ego Thieves material and worthy a million times over.

Snoop Doggie Dub

THIS IS AN ARCHIVED POST

Nope. This is not a joke, or a misspell error… this is Snoop Dog (yup the rapping one) on a Dubstep track. Now not just any Dubstep track, oh no that would be weak. But instead the ’08 smash hit from Chase & Status Eastern Jam. I kid you not. Question: Is this good or bad for Dubstep? I still haven’t made up my mind but i will say i do like the chorus on the drop it goes very well just not sure about the rest. Check for yourself and download it if you dare…
