As biased as I am, I consider the 90’s to be the very height of musical excellence when it came to dance, pop and electronic music, especially here in Britain. It was a truly incredible  time and the amount of sheer classics that were born is unreal. I mean seriously, everything from Stardust’s ‘Music Sounds Better With You’, Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’, Cassius dropping ‘Feeling For You’ and Robin S belting out ‘Show Me Love’, we were so spoilt for choice it was unbelievable.

As part of my Jenailution series, I decided to go way, way back to my roots. To the days I had no idea what DJ’ing was, but I was always the kid at the family gatherings and birthday parties taking control of the stereo and controlling the sounds and tape decks. I even  started to put together my own custom recorded cassettes for those very special occasions. This mix represents all those tracks I became utterly obsessed with and really do prove, the 90’s took dance music to a whole new level that had never been seen before.
