The response we received for the first installment of ‘We Are Ego Thieves’ was amazing! People were letting us know they wanted a second edition and as much as time was against me in so many ways, I teamed with Cudlo just before the Xmas break to sit down and source a tracklist to try our very best to outdo the first installment.
We both pulled together our favorite tracks of the year, jumped on Skype and debated our arses off on what should be included or dropped. What resulted is an energy, bassed filled mix that we both fell in love with. With more fire from Flosstradamus, Dismantle bringing those 4×4 vibes and of course some Kendrick Lamar for good taste, this mix was ready to go!
As this was our second in the series, we decided our baby kitten had all but grown up and of course, an Ego Thieves cat is a Streetwear loving slave to the brands, Snapback and all. Maybe one day we will do a third in the series, but it’s been five years since we put the last one out and a whole lot has changed in that time!
