Happy New Year 2012

Happy New Year from everyone here at team Ego Thieves. Hope you all celebrated in style, all across the globe. We would like to thank everyone for all the support and love, not just from 2011, but since we started this journey of creativity. From humble beginnings as a small two man (Jenai & Jehrome) blog, showcasing music, games and anything take took our fancy. Now a globally recognised brand, with a reach of 50k unique visits a month and a recent milestone of 1million downloads, oh and an exclusive team bursting to the seams with creativity.

Its all pretty surreal, especially since Ego Thieves is non profit and simply a showcase of what we love and how much we love it. 2012 will bring new directions, new collaborations and a vast amount of music and art. Skrillex up for 5 Grammy Awards

Some interesting news we thought we would share. Skrillex has be nominated not just for one Grammy award, but five! Good news for EDM? Bad news for EDM? Or just happy he put out the new Koan Sound EP lol? Either way a great achievement for any artist.

POP DUB 8… Send yours!

Project ‘POP DUB’ has officially started. Get your tracks in and also we want to hear what the listeners want to see on the mix too. We are also going in a new direction and adding more to the mix. Electro? 100bpm anyone?

Yes we do nasty mixes, yes we have sexy artwork and an amazing website, yes we have a worldwide fan base and a hella lot of downloads and followers. But the one thing we haven’t done yet is bring Ego Thieves live in the flesh to the masses on a regular biases. This is all about to change.

For now expect come to see us at what shapes up to be a crazy student night out called BREAK. With a hugely diverse Dubstep line up from the likes of legends EL-B, Cotti & Crazy D to Psy:am, Stinkahbell and of course Ego Thieves. All to be held at Tutu’s, London WC2R 2NS on 1st October from 10pm – 4am.

Big up my boy Mr IQ dropping his latest creation Flashing Lights! Now i don’t have the CD yet but will be grabbing one this week to support. First of, big up the many visitors who returned waiting for the new site to be back up along with the many emails, comments and twitters telling us how much they love the new look layout. Secondly, welcome to all the new faces and people who have joined up. Im sure allot of you were silent downloaders lol but are now taking advantage of getting in early to sign up and download the mixes before the general public do.

EGO THIEVES 2.0 HAS LANDED

Hello. Hi. Welcome to Ego Thieves 2.0! Its taken three whole weeks to get the transition done and please don’t be mistaken that we are all finished up yet. We still have lots of features to implement and will do over the next few days. Below is a list of a few new features, upgrades and updates we have kicked into place.

Which in ET terms means that we are nearly on the way to fixing all the download links. Bare with us, as its a hell of allot of files to upload!! Big ups to all that has shown mad support whether it be by comments, emails (many of them!) Twittering, Facebook or texts lol we appreciate the love trust. Lots of new posts coming in the next few days as you can see by our new header we are updating the site in a big ol way which we are sure you will all love. As for Ministry we have heard nothing yet, but the battle goes on and we will get an answer even if we have to send a crew down there to chain them-self’s to railings or some shit.

HED KANDI / HARD2BEAT / GLOBAL UNDERGROUND / KISS).

Michael Jackson Dead? In A Coma? Or Just In Hospital?

Am sitting here with the misses (Reem Kanj) and my brother (Ty) and just in as much shock and bewilderment as everyone else. Is he dead? Because i dont trust TMZ for shit. Los Angeles Times are saying that he is in a coma and the BBC are saying they have no confirmations of anything. Hope its not true, if so its going to defiantly be one of those days you remember were you are when Michael Jackson died.

LA Times have now confirmed that he is dead! This is crazy and beyond words.
