Fink – Perfect Darkness (Lapalux Remix)

Here at Ego Thieves HQ, we are very proud of fellow Essex dweller, Lapalux. Only 22 years old, he recently celebrates the fact he has been signed to the mecca of Electronica, Brainfeeder (Home of Flying Lotus). No one deserves it more and 2012 is shaping up to to be real big for him.

Since its Sunday and we are continuing with our slow down sessions, here is one of our favourites. Lapalux’s remix of Fink, Perfect Darkness track which was released in October. Madlib – Flowers

Forgive us for posting another Madlib tune today, it had to be done. We actually can’t think of one tune we don’t like from Madlib, this one is called Flowers and it’s one of his more chilled tracks.

It’s difficult to find his albums as they are so rare, my advice if you find some available in hard copy: buy it!

Rizlab x Ghostpoet x The DOT – Trouble

I (Jenai) remember sitting on Skype, roughly this time last year, speaking to Ghostpoet on many occasions. Usually moaning about the state of Eastenders while sending hidden tracks to each other for inspiration…all while he penciled the vision for his album.

The other thing we also used to speak about was how scarse his bookings were, the politics and tribulations of record labels and stresses of him losing his job, moving homes and trying to stay focused.

Fast forward a year and im sure even Ghostpoet would agree, that our predictions have been blown out of the water. With shows around the globe, a handful of amazing videos and a critically acclaimed debut album ‘Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam’, oh and did I mention a Mercury Prize nomination? Things are shaping up nicely for him and deservedly so!

Here is a brand new banger from Ghostpoet in conjunction with Rizlab and Mike Skinners newly formed band, The DOT, entitled ‘Trouble’. Watch out for the one take, streamed video dropping soon.

Inspector Dubplate – Friday Filth Xmas Special

That carrot shanking, moustache endorsing bass mechanic aka Inspector Dubplate, has just released some Xmas’y joy all over your face. Madlib – Pyramids

We thought we should post a tune from an artist signed Stones Record, seeing as how we just posted a MADVILLAIN x Kidrobot vinyl toy!

Madlib is probably one of the greatest artists we’ve ever heard, he has such a unique sound it’s difficult to pin his music to one genre. It’s a shame he’s still underground, his music has been pumping through our speakers for years and will continue to do so. Expect a lot more from Madlib here on Ego Thieves.

Baby Sol vs Stinkahbell – Always

Tonight, we are going to do a huge video blitz of tracks we have loved this year but didn’t have the chance to post up. First up is a favourite of mine from 2011. Baby Sol vs Stinkahbell smashed it with this track, Always.

Now those fans of Ego Thieves should know of our great love for Stinkahbell and support their ever growing and deserving success. DZA – Zoo Keeper

Russia is known for many things. The best Vodka in the world, very cold weather and not so great home made cars lol. But one thing it should be known for is the very Russian beats of DZA.

Incorporating his unique blend of scattered loops and 8bit mechanics, he is a producer after our own hearts. His ‘Zoo Keeper’ EP released on Error Broadcast, does nothing but break expectations and is a must have. Above is our favourite from the EP, ‘Vanilla’. Buy here and enjoy the fact you could of almost missed this EP, but you didn’t.

MADVILLAIN x Kid Robot

Kidrobot London shows off the highly sought after and long sold-out MADVILLAIN. A Stones Throw and Kid Robot collaboration from 2007, it’s surprising there’s any of this rare piece left!

KRLDN has said they have one, although I doubt it’s still there, it’s probably sitting on Jenai’s window seal as we type this ! It stands at 10 inches tall and is a great addition to any vinyl toy collection.

Truth – World Is Spinning

Soundcloud is amazing! When you login and you see free tracks given away from new pioneers in the Dubstep scene. Truth decided to bang this one out straight to his fans for a direct download. Big ups to Truth and the whole dam gang. Download this one here =]
