Also Dubfluence is now all grown up and this artwork represents the first in a series of dedicated themes for each series. The artwork represents the depths and emotion of Dubstep, something more organic and natural (there is always a science behind what we do lol).

POP Goes Dubfluencial 3

POP! Goes Dubfluencial 3 is here already…! What started out as me trying to snub the forums and bloggers by showcasing all the commercial sounding, Dubstep/Bass as allot of them hated them, has now turned into a mini series with a huge fan base all of its own.

Many established and long term followers may slew and put down this type of mix and tracks. But the fact is this mix draws in allot of people with tracks they already know but with a twist. Most people then go on to download the Dubfluencial mixes and delve deeper to then go on to download Dubfluence mixes and get into the likes of Burial, Breakage, Synkro etc.

Electzilla – Episode 4

Well its 6am, I should be asleep but my brain wont let me for reasons you wish not know. So I thought what better way to distract my thoughts than to bang up the new Electzilla mix. Full of wobble, fidgety, sublow and jump up bass. Featuring the likes of A1 Bassline, Buraka Som Sistema, Udachi and more. Its not for the light hearted and not made for small systems. Jenailution – Flying Lotus

I hope you enjoy this first installment from the modern day genius that is Flying Lotus. A mix between his older more Hip Hop influenced sounds, to his current experimental Electronica that is as hard to explain as it is to produce. My fav collection from him bar none. His older Hip Hop stuff is just amazing! Allot of people wont of heard allot of these I’m sure.

Dubflencial 8 – A Planet Explorer

Big ups to the masses emailing, tweeting, texting and even those rare few who have my number even ringing me to ask when the next Dubfluencial is coming out.

Well here is Dubfluencial 8[PE] – A Planet Explorer mixed by Jenai. This is a very special edition for a few reasons. Last one of the year, first one for nearly three months (has it been that long :S ?), lots of special bangers with some tasty exclusives and a special collaboration of artwork from myself, JC Adams (Ape Apparel) and David Kelly. The theme is based of course on our Ape Apparel clothing range which is soon to be transformed for next year into something special, like you have never seen before. So we sent our Ape Hunter out to explore the vast universe for something new, strange and out of this world.

Mixes Reupped Part One

Its been a crazy first week of relaunch. Just a quick note to all who downloaded and signed up, big ups to all of you and trust we appreciate your support. Ive had allot of emails an contacts asking for a few reups of older mixes and broken links. This was all due to the Ministry Of Sound madness that happened but now we have reupped all the back catalog. So no more MediaFire (for now lol), you can download them all direct and fast using our private server. We know theres still a few outstanding but we will get them up as soon as possible. Any problems leave a comment will sort it =]

Quick update

Yo all,

First of, big up the many visitors who returned waiting for the new site to be back up along with the many emails, comments and twitters telling us how much they love the new look layout. Secondly, welcome to all the new faces and people who have joined up. Im sure allot of you were silent downloaders lol but are now taking advantage of getting in early to sign up and download the mixes before the general public do.

POP GOES DUBFLUENCIAL 2

Love it or hate it, POP! Goes Dubfluencial 2 is here….! The last mix had a very varied response, some of disgust and worry about where Dubstep is going and some with complete joy that Dubstep is breaking out of the Underground and creating new and exciting music. Either way we love it all and we bring you the latest version with an update of what tracks are being remixed, dropped and popped!

With original tracks coming the like of Kelis and Crookers to classic like Mr Postman getting a bassed up refix there’s plenty to keep you interested and or ashamed lol. If your new to Dubstep, this might be a good place to start. Get familiar with songs you already know and then grow to the more organic and dirty sound. Its very much a Dubstep 101 entry point. Make sure you all support the artists, producers and promoters because with them we would have nothing at all.

DUBFLUENCE 2 AKA APE.5

The last Dubfluence had a massive reception, so much so it was even published on Japanese super blog Back To Chill and given 4 out of 5 star rating. Some people seem to think Dubstep is now divided, that you either love the hard jump up bass sound which is considered cheesy to some or you love the organic deep sound which is the rightful Dubstep. Im here to show you that is not the case at all. I love both, and i support and follow both.

I wish i could do more Dubfluence mixes but the tracks don’t come thick and fast enough. I will be featuring allot of the producers on these mixes from the likes of Burial, Widdler, Heny G and more. They deserve your support as much as the next. But for the Dubstep ‘community’ to place a stigma on people and portray the scene as you either listen to ‘real’ Dubstep or you don’t is just plain stupid and wrong.

ELECTZILLA – EPISODE 3

It feels like an age since we gave you the last Electzilla. Even though only two mixes deep, they already have a mini cult following. Lots of Electro sounding bangers, wooble bass and jump up beats, its not hard to understand why. Though they are usually mixed by Ego Thieves resident Electro lord ‘I Am Kane’ this Episode is mixed by myself. Half because i love it and half because Kane has been busy moving home and creating a new bedroom for his mixing equipment lol. He will be back in the mix very soon bringing you some of his badaman skills soon.
