Walter Ego – Wavey/Military Mind
Coyote Records‘ unrelenting ardor for all things grime continues with Sheffield’s Walter Ego ‘Wavey/Military Mind’ release for Tomas Fraser’s vinyl-loving label. ‘Wavey’ buzzes into existence with rugged, sawtoothed bass guiding a dubstep-revering drum pattern and spacey arp along its four minute course. ‘Military Mind’ is similar grimy debauchery, throwing another knifelike bassline up against samples that a pre-‘Boy In Da Corner’ Dizzee would have lapped up with nonchalance. It’s fun as hell to shack out to and it’ll be with us in late Feb. Hold tight.
