Artist Profile – Huck Gee
We felt we should start featuring the people behind a lot the Vinyl toy art we post on Ego Thieves, starting off with Huck Gee from the UK!
Huck Gee moved to San Fransisco in the early 90s to pursue his passion for being an artist. Huck honed his skills as an illustrator, delving into the alluring world of Japanese and Hong Kong pop art; he calls his style “Bastardized Asian Pop Culture”. He now has numerous releases with Kid Robot, which are certainly some of the rarist to come by. His ‘Hello My Name Is 8-inch Dunny’ was accepted into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in NYC.
Huck is certainly an inspiration to any who have a passion for Vinyl Toy art, you will definitely be seeing more from him featured here.
See more from his personal gallery here, in our opinion he has designed some of the best Vinyl Toys to date, also a little video showcasing some of his Vinly Toys!. Keep an eye out next Thursday for our next Artist profile!
