Jenai

Co-creator and founder of Ego Thieves, Jenai is a man with many fingers in many pies. When he isn’t DJing around the world, he is busy heading up the design company Ego By Design and AEM media. Forever trying push the boundaries of creativity, he has pulled together the super team you see now. He is considered by many to be one of the new age Dubstep and EDM pioneers, when he created the unique platform, Ego Thieves. He also tends to be seen hanging around Kid Robot while eating curry and forever playing FF7 on his phone.

 

Jehrome

Jehrome, cousin to founder Jenai, is an ideal candidate for an Ego Thief. Anti pop, anti commercial and anti crap. He has high standards for what is deemed creative and has been a part of the team from the birth of Ego Thieves. With a huge passion for alternative music, he is drawn to the likes of Flying Lotus, Afta1, Burial, Datsik, Aphex Twin and more. Forever promoting anything you won’t find on the radio. He can also be found in a dingy London arcade competing in Street Fighter tournaments while studying for his gaming degree.

 

JC Adams

Illustration extraordinaire, JC Adams, quickly became an integral partner of Ego Thieves and its creative vision. When he isn’t co-constructing ideas with Jenai, JC is busy illustrating away as the Creative Director of Ego By Design and heading up the clothing label, namely JC Adams aka APE. Always promoting the positive ethos to the ideas that spawn around the airways of the Ego Thieves HQ, JC’s input is a vital one. Catch this APE in and around London, iPad in hand, illustrations in pocket & ideas forever flowing.

 

Excel

The industry veteran, DJ Excel. A vast career that spans the past twenty years, from Pirate DJ, Smash hit producer, to running the world famous Uptown Records in central London. Providing a frontline outlook on the birth of UK based dance genres such as UK Garage, Grime, Dubstep & UK House, he has pretty much witnessed it all. He is always making sure the Ego Thieves HQ is running ship shape. You can also catch Excel constantly playing the most up to date games, as well as raising two future mini Ego Thieves.

 

Errol

Errol Anderson is no stranger to good music. Creator of fellow music website, Decibel Soup. Errol has spent the last year blogging for one of the UK’s leading published newspapers, The Independent. If that wasn’t enough, he is also a staff writer for MTV’s urban blog, The Wrap up. He is forever sharing good music with his fellow Ego Thieves. You can expect to read in-depth reviews, listen to many a hidden gem and gain great exposure, to what ever it is that happens to catch the twinkle in Errol’s eye.

 

Mr. Fat Chance

Mr. Fat Chance is the logical brain to the team. In house check lists, factual notifications and someone we rely on to point out the flaws and mistakes. He brings a healthy balance to the Ego Thieves HQ, as well as a vast love for music. An fitness fanatic and football freak, Mr. Fat Chance can usually be seen running around London with his “Run Dem Crew”. Business to businesses, sponsor opportunities and more, Mr. Fat Chance is the go to guy if you want to be involved with Ego Thieves.

 

Joon

Joon is forever in the lab trying to keep up with Jenai’s crazy concoctions. Whether its PHP, Jquery, CSS, AJAX or even a mass of custom code, he is the man who helps piece the puzzle together. Jenai trusts no one else with his precious code apart from Joon, and they can usually be seen on Skype at 4am working away on some sort of secret project. Joon resides in Copenhagen, when he isn’t coding he is studying for his masters in game design.

 

Ran

Ran’s passion for constantly discovering new music where ever he can find it, has inspired him to become one of Belgium’s youngest promoters, a night called Dubstepic. At the age of 18, he has managed to fill venues with over 1200 ravers in one night. He has started his new venture ‘Blue Cheese’ which will carry on as he started. Ran’s love for alternative music, has secured him a permanent role within Ego Thieves.
