Relight has killed it this year! With too many bangers to even have time to mention… but here is a remix of one of those bangers ‘Get Out My Head’ by Ego Thieves favourite, Joker. Just having released his debut (some might say long overdue) album, this is the kind of Joker we love to hear. Hard sub wobbles, melodic synths and someone who knows a chord when he plays one.
Due for release January 22nd 2012, on MTA Records, it’s going to be another good year we can feel it.
I hadn’t heard much of Zero 7 until I heard this banger by Joker and Ginz…Flippin’ genius remix! And to make things even better for you lovers of dubstep, the video portrays the feeling of the tune perfectly ! I need to find and kiss the people who created this video, so much better than the crap you see on MTV or Kiss etc. This is what’s wrong with this country, you have crappy videos by UK artists coming in high on the video charts, but master pieces like this don’t even get noticed..*sigh*
Now im very sure this mix will cause some controversy amongst the whats ‘Dubstep’ whats not ‘Dubstep’ debate. Its just a one off special called POP! Goes Dubfluencial which focuses on some of the more commercial tracks that have had the ‘Dubstep/Bass’ make over. Some consider these tunes to cheapen the true roots and sounds of Dubstep. Whats yours?. I love Dubstep not, just because its all about hard bass etc but the fact its turned into something no other Genre has managed to really do. Your allowed, with or without scrutiny to produce what you want and still have the same audiences appreciation.
