Final Fantasy XIV Online Trailer

Square are pumping out the Final Fantasy’s! We’ve got XIII coming to PS3 and 360, Versus XIII coming to PS3 and now XIV coming to PS3; which is an MMO and MMO’s take a lot of work to maintain.

Now I’ve dabbled in the world of MMO’s and at the moment, World of Warcraft is the most popular MMO ever. However before the popularity of WoW destroyed every MMO in sight, Final Fantasy XI was at the top. I’m excited to see where Square are going to go with this, especially considering they already have experience in the field and are still adding expansions to FFXI which was released about 7years ago! Now when your still addding content to a 7year old game you know your commited! So hopefully the same will happen with this new iteration to the MMO genre.

Actual FFXIII Gameplay!

This isn’t just a trailer or a clip that’s been cut from a trailer, it’s actual gameplay, with somebody holding a pad and actually playing it…I know, I was almost as excited and shocked as you are right now. Square Enix are starting to tease the fans with little snippets of footage here and there, the game is predicted as releasing in Japan late this year. But for the rest of us sorry losers in Europe and the US, we’ll probably have to wait until next year, I wouldn’t even be surprised if Europe gets screwed by a couple of months. If that’s the case it’s an import for me (Thank you Sony for no region protection on games!) BETTER FOOTAGE ADDED! THIS IS THE ACTUAL DEMO WHICH WAS RELEASED IN JAPAN A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO!

This game looks fuckin’ amazing! It looks like a mix between FFX, FFX-2 and FFVII…Oh my god, I cannot wait for this to come out. The graphics are ridiculous…There are a couple more videos, but I’ll post them in a different post tommorow.

Final Fantasy XIII DKS3713 Trailers

We haven’t seen much of Final Fantasy 13 or Versus for a while, Square have finally (ye finally !) released two new trailers; which is quite a shock considering how Square operate when it comes to releasing footage. These trailers are taken from the DKS3713 event that was held in August, they show off some new cut scenes and hint a bit of the story..Which won’t really be understood unless you’re Japanese. Make sure you watch the 2nd trailer all the way through: gameplay footage at the end!

More Dissidia Gameplay!

This game is easily becoming one of my most anticipated games! I’m into fighting games a lot (Who isn’t?) , even more so recently (I especially love me some Third Strike <3 Urien), this game looks amazing for PSP and how can one not like a fight between Jecht and Tidus!

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Gameplay

For all of those unfamiliar with Dissidia, it’s a 3D fighting game with Final Fantasy characters in it on the PSP…Thats it! At first I was very sceptical and was afraid it was going to be a generic, crappy game where no effort was taken in development. This video however, has convinced me otherwise: the game looks amazing! The fighting is fast paced, there are a variety of moves, the arenas are affected by combat and how can you not like a game where you can put Sephiroth and Kuja into a battle?

FFXIII E3 Trailer

I know this is a bit late considering E3 was about a month ago…But I never posted it and I think it deserves to be posted. It is basically the same old trailer, but it shows off some summons and a bit more of the other characters in the game. However I am starting to get sick of not seeing any gameplay footage at all, It looks as though we’re going to have to wait until the demo is released next March…Longness!

FFXIII 360 Asia Version Announced

At a recent Microsoft game exhibition in Taipei, Microsoft announced that Final Fantasy XIII for the 360 would go on sale in Taiwan, but haven’t yet decided which localized version will be launched for the Asian territories.

It seems Microsoft are discussing possible countries that the 360 version can be released in, because of course it isn’t being released in Japan (the biggest RPG market), Microsoft are trying their best to get their console selling in Asia…Especially with all of the RPG’s comming out this year (Last Remnant, Tales of Vesperia etc.) Also this could mean that people in Japan who want the 360 version may be able to import this version, that is if there is no region-protection!

FF Versus XIII Exclusivity

During the DKS3713 event, Square Enix reconfirmed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is planned to remain a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

It’s kinda hard to trust anything Square say at this point in my opinion, with them constantly saying they were going to take full advantage of the PS3’s hardware and then announcing FFXIII being multi-platform. Anyway for now it’s confirmed a PS3 exclusive, so all of the PS3 fanboys can sleep a bit better at night (including me ha!).

FFVII Announcement will Shock Fans (August 2-3)

Shinji Hashimoto from Square Enix said in an interview with 1UP that “you can look forward to the upcoming invite-only fan event DKS3713 (Taking place in Tokyo on August 2-3), where we will have a major announcement that will shock fans in attendance.”

I know DKS3713 is a dodgy name, apparently it stands for the games which are being shown at the event, anyway hopefully the announcement is ACTUALLY shocking…It better not be something like Advent Children on Blu-ray…
