Madlib – Pyramids

We thought we should post a tune from an artist signed Stones Record, seeing as how we just posted a MADVILLAIN x Kidrobot vinyl toy!

Madlib is probably one of the greatest artists we’ve ever heard, he has such a unique sound it’s difficult to pin his music to one genre. It’s a shame he’s still underground, his music has been pumping through our speakers for years and will continue to do so. Expect a lot more from Madlib here on Ego Thieves.

Buy his music from here.

Baby Sol vs Stinkahbell – Always

Tonight, we are going to do a huge video blitz of tracks we have loved this year but didn’t have the chance to post up. First up is a favourite of mine from 2011. Baby Sol vs Stinkahbell smashed it with this track, Always.

Now those fans of Ego Thieves should know of our great love for Stinkahbell and support their ever growing and deserving success. This is something different from them and shows how diverse their production skills really are. Oh and Baby Sol sounds sick. For our Dubstep lovers make sure you check the drop at 5mins. Buy the track and join Stinkahbell & Baby Sol on Facebook.

Gramatik – Lorena’s Butterfly

This is an oldie but a goodie. Gramatik resides in Slovenia and he is definitely one of our favourite artists! Remember at the ET HQ, we’re all about good music, regardless of where it came from. So chill out to this 2008 release with your headphones on whilst you get on with your day.

Buy the album here.

Aphex Twin – IZ US

It’s hard for us to define our taste in music, there are so many different genres and artists we love and Aphex Twin is definitely one of them. He is a pioneer of electronic music and always will be. The sounds we hear today in many different genre of music, is because of him.

He is a genius and it’s a sad day when anyone who loves music, has never heard his; which is the main reason for us posting this here! Also we think IZ US goes perfect with this video!

Niño – Buio Omega

Another day, another Donky Pitch banger sunk deep in our DJ folders. This is taken from the amazing debut EP ‘Clase de 1984′ from Niño. The whole EP is amazing, and watch out for tracks from Niño featured in some of our mixes real soon. Buy the EP here and remember to hit up Donky Pitch for the latest.

Lorn – Nothing Else

We’ve loved Lorn ever since he signed with Flying Lotus’s label Brainfeeder, in 2010. The track above is called Automaton from his album Nothing Else and it’s one of our favourites! At the moment he is signed with London-Based label, Ninja Tune. You can buy Lorn’s album from here!

Culprate – Ono

Our brother in bass Inspector Dubplate has been a very busy boy this year, but heres a sneaky peek of whats to come for 2012. Brand new 100bpm track from Culprate titled ‘Ono’ forthcoming on his EP on Inspected Records.

Boiler Room – Standard Place

We are huge fans of  Boiler Room and their grind. Showcasing some of the best talents this side of the pond. Watch the video above for an insight on how the nights even come to surpass. Follow them on Twitter / Facebook.

Hurdey Gurdey – Video Preview

Fresh from the rat cage of Lonodn, Illaman drops a quick preview of a standard night by his measure. Fox mask mandem waiting for that 19 bus, its just another day in the hood. Follow him @illaman

Koan Sound – UKF Mix

Huge mix from Ego Thieves favourites & homies, Koan Sound. An epic year for them in 2011, we can only await what they bring for 2012. If this mix is anything to go by, then its going to be a good year. Big ups to Luke & the UKF family.

Fat Jon – Spacesuit Proper

This tune makes us feel like we’re on a train in Japan. Fat Jon will always be in our playlist.
