So we are nearing the end of another decade. Which i find so crazy as it only feels like it was 1999 just the other day. Its been such an amazing, fantastic, horrible and crazy ten years i could ever imagine. Through out the year i will bringing you my Retrospective of what has molded my creative influences through out the decade. From Music, Gaming, Fashion, Film and everything else in between.
Though its just gone boxing day the funs not over yet. We have another post Xmas present for you now..! This is the first mix in a brand new series called Binary Bass, which for all our regular followers you will know this mix as MDMA Sessions. I decided to change the brand/name of this mix because MDMA Sessions didn’t fit and was only suppose to be a one off. But as its popularity grew (it seems allot love the mash up style of mixing with an anything goes rule!) i thought its about time it gets its own home.
Ego Thieves teamed up with our boy DJ Cable (click for his other mixes) and Rock The Dub to bring you something new and forever controversial. Thugstep is real, its here to stay and it can Fuck Right Off! With Dubstep/Grime/Hip Hop hybrid exclusives from the likes of Boy Better Know, Tempa T, Inja, Skinny Man, Dem Franchise Boyz and exclusive DJ Nappy refixes this is another must download. Dare to try something different. If you like your bass hard and your lyrics gully then look no further. Next year I’m sure there will be some more hybrid tunes to hit the scene, whether you love it or hate it there’s nothing you can do to escape it. This isn’t about Dubstep, its about getting nasty in the club.
I miss Grime. Fact. Whether you agree or not its in a better or worst state, I was there swinging my gun finger in the air at Eskimo Dances and witnessing the start of some of the greatest artists this country has to offer you can buy here. Roll Deep were pinnacle to the scene and were one of the ‘major’ crews about. Well to celebrate the release of their Street Anthems compilation showcasing some of their greatest hits we have this free track for you to download which was previously unreleased. Its been a crazy first week of relaunch. Just a quick note to all who downloaded and signed up, big ups to all of you and trust we appreciate your support. Ive had allot of emails an contacts asking for a few reups of older mixes and broken links. This was all due to the Ministry Of Sound madness that happened but now we have reupped all the back catalog. So no more MediaFire (for now lol), you can download them all direct and fast using our private server. We know theres still a few outstanding but we will get them up as soon as possible. Any problems leave a comment will sort it =]
If you didn’t know, we been a bit missing recently. But its all for a good reason, and in two weeks time you will know why. Big up to those that know and giving us loads of amazing feedback… cannot wait! Lots of new mixes coming, we haven’t slowed down, if anything we have only just begun. Quick big ups to the many many followers and supporters who have got us where we are in just 6 short month.
From 50k page-views a month on average now, 10k unique visitors on average, well over 200k downloads and impossible to really count anymore, hundreds of forums and blogs showing us love, people re upping mixes on rapidshare, torrents, newgroups lol just everywhere (even though they are always free on here 😛 ) we thank you all and we love you long time… init.
