Many established and long term followers may slew and put down this type of mix and tracks. But the fact is this mix draws in allot of people with tracks they already know but with a twist. Most people then go on to download the Dubfluencial mixes and delve deeper to then go on to download Dubfluence mixes and get into the likes of Burial, Breakage, Synkro etc.

These mixes are a perfect entry point for people who have no idea what Dubstep or what this Bass sound is all about. Its a stepping stone to then get deep into the other mixes, tracks and educate themselves without being overwhelmed by sounds that are too new to them. It also gives established producers to try something new with their production and make some of that mainstream monies. So don’t hate. Its boring. But if you chose to, theres many more who don’t, so your alone and who really wants to be alone?

For starters i bring you an Urban Nerds Retrospective. Urban Nerds is a pride and joy and to have watched it grown into what it has today im happy to to say i was there and part of the family. I have lots of content which allot will remain private but i have some here to share with all of you. First up is prob the best Grime act of all time, Newham Generals. They performed in June 2008 at prob the best Urban Nerds venue 93 Feet East. It was the first time Urban Nerds hosted the DMC Heats for London. This cause some problems with the set up as its allot more complicated than people think. But Tubby isnt one of the best DJs for no reason and the show went on. The first to introduce the Dubstep sound and to this day D Double E and Footsie are the only two MCs i will ever listen to spit over Dubstep and agree they make it sound just that much better.

But 2010 is here and if you think we did allot in 09, your not even remotely ready. World tours, exclusive mixes, Fashion labels and so much more we have no intention of slowing down. Ego Thieves is loved world wide, trust me its very global and we plan to cater to all. I hope you all had an amazing New Years Eve and those who celebrate Xmas put on way too many pounds (though i know many who dont who still got a bit fatter lol).

For this to happen i have added two new members to the team. First we have David Kelly who is a young graphic designer who has worked for the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Newham Generals, Wiley and more. He will be showcasing his artwork and designs in various covers around the site. Watch out for an official welcome post this week with details on how to contact him etc. Secondly we have Jack Swift previously known as DJ Pressure. Personally i think he is one of the best DJs in this country and now he has branched out to more musical styles i think 2010 will be a good year for him.

Myself and Jack Swift will be sharing this mix both dropping one every other month. Watch out for Jack’s specials coming soon covering some of UK Garages legends in his unique live mixing style. Big up the folks over at Scenexscience for getting Grime and Bassline legend Dexplicit to put together a mini mix for them. From producing classics such as Forwards Riddim to one of my personal favs of all time Bullacake Dex has always stood out in an overcrowded room of overrated producers and shown exactly why he is still here now banging out tracks. Recently even doing a remix for the much hyped Drop The Lime track Set Me Free. Well worth a download and i mean why not? Its free!?

I miss Grime. Fact. Whether you agree or not its in a better or worst state, i was there swinging my gun finger in the air at Eskimo Dances and witnessing the start of some of the greatest artists this country has to offer you can buy here. Roll Deep were pinnacle to the scene and were one of the ‘major’ crews about. Well to celebrate the release of their Street Anthems compilation showcasing some of their greatest hits we have this free track for you to download which was previously unreleased. Big up the Kaptin over at Chrome Kids. If you don’t know about them make sure you visit their blog here for lots of goodies and a good read. They have just posted up the new Chrome Kids mix titled ‘Knowledge Me‘ which happened to just be for Knowledge magazine.

A crazy eclectic mix of music from Dubstep, Glitch, Grime, Hulk Hop (lol) and more. Its a badda mix and is straight on the iPhone. Big up the Chrome family, lots more to come from them.
